In 2017, an opportunity arose to extend The Beaumont when a nearby light industrial property became vacant. ReardonSmith Architects secured planning and listed building consent to replace this property with a seven-storey building, including a basement level and two upper storeys. This extension added new guestrooms around an internal landscaped courtyard and new function spaces in the basement. MAPUK was chosen for our extensive experience with high-profile projects and our ability to provide customised ventilation solutions.

MAPUK supplied ventilation products for hotel rooms from the 1st to the 5th floor and the ground floor function rooms. Entrusted with  integrating high-performance, energy-efficient products that align with the hotel’s commitment to sustainability and guest comfort. As part of a project, each diffuser length was bespoke. MAPUK manufactured to these exact specifications, no two lengths were the same.

The bespoke manufacturing process allowed for perfect integration into the unique design of each room, maintaining the aesthetic continuity of the hotel. We selected LDB20/8 diffusers to ensure efficient air distribution and maintain a quiet, comfortable environment. These diffusers are designed to deliver conditioned air evenly throughout the space, reducing noise and drafts, which is crucial in creating a restful and luxurious atmosphere for hotel guests. The recessed shadow gap plaster subframes ensured that the ventilation systems were unobtrusive, preserving the Art Deco aesthetic of the interiors.

MAPUK is proud to have contributed to The Beaumont Hotel project, enhancing guest comfort and operational efficiency through our advanced ventilation products. Another example of our commitment to quality and seamless integration in high-profile hospitality projects.
