Sumitomo’s new office space at 68 Upper Thames Street required a modern, high-performance HVAC solution that seamlessly integrated into its multifunctional design. The space on the fourth floor spans an open-plan layout with meeting rooms, refreshment stations, a kitchen and seating areas. The office layout on level four included diverse areas with varying air distribution and performance requirements, from open workspaces to enclosed meeting rooms and kitchen areas. HVAC systems needed to blend seamlessly into the space. The client demanded energy efficiency, low noise and consistent airflow throughout the office.

To meet these challenges, MAPUK provided a comprehensive range of high-performance products tailored to the project’s specific needs. LDB20/8 high induction supply air diffusers were selected for areas with ceiling tiles, to optimise air distribution and thermal comfort while seamlessly integrating into the ceiling grid. LDB20/8 in 55-PSF flush plaster subframes, were ideal for plasterboard-finished areas as they delivered exemplary performance with an elegant appearance.

The result was a state-of-the-art office environment that combined comfort, efficiency and aesthetics.
