Located in the heart of Chelsea, 21 Manresa Road is a historic 19th-century Victorian building stretching over 100 metres in length. Originally part of King’s College, this architectural landmark has been meticulously restored and transformed into an exclusive development of 16 luxurious apartments and a penthouse villa. This ambitious renovation blends period elegance with contemporary design.
MAPUK was privileged to contribute to this iconic project, chosen for our expertise in ventilation solutions for heritage buildings. Our team worked closely with the project specifiers to design and implement an airflow system that discreetly complements the classical interiors while ensuring optimal air distribution.
For this development, we supplied Micro Blade grilles paired with Mini Swirl diffusers, carefully positioned in service areas and guest spaces to provide efficient, unobtrusive ventilation. The luxury apartments were equipped with LDB linear air diffusers, offering seamless integration and draft-free airflow, enhancing comfort without disrupting the period aesthetics.
To preserve the architectural integrity of the building, our ceiling-mounted air diffusers, featuring aerodynamically designed slot nozzles, were strategically concealed within coffer ceilings, raft ceilings, cornice slots, and blind/window reveals. In the full-height glazed rooms, our technical team meticulously configured the nozzle pattern settings to ensure optimal thermal comfort and quiet air circulation.
