Bradfield College is a prestigious co-educational independent school with over 800 students, the college is known for its state-of-the-art facilities and commitment to providing an exceptional educational environment. Given the scale and demands of this institution, it was essential to implement a robust and effective ventilation solution that could cater to large spaces and handle variable heating and cooling loads. To achieve this, MAPUK collaborated with Hoare Lea, a leading engineering consultancy, to deliver a tailored solution that meets the unique needs of Bradfield College.

Educational institutions like Bradfield College often feature expansive rooms, such as lecture halls, libraries and computer labs, which can be challenging to ventilate effectively. These spaces are prone to fluctuating heating and cooling requirements due to varying occupancy levels and the presence of heat-generating equipment. The goal was to ensure even ventilation across large floor areas while maintaining the durability and aesthetic integrity.
Working closely with Hoare Lea, MAPUK recommended and supplied FFD floor-mounted air diffusers, which were specifically chosen for their ability to distribute airflow efficiently across large open areas. FFD diffusers are also known for their rigid, flush-mounted design, making them ideal for busy areas such as schools, where durability and resistance to wear and tear are crucial. The floor diffusers also deliver optimal air distribution, ensuring consistent ventilation and thermal comfort across open areas.
